IPL 2024 auction: Full list of 333 players up for grabs and their base price | Cricket News

Harry Brook, the standout batter from England, and Travis Head, the Australian all-rounder opener who hit a century in the ODI World Cup final, are slotted in the Rs 2 crore base-price category for the upcoming IPL 2024 auction to take place in Dubai.
The auction, scheduled for December 19 at Dubai’s Coca Cola Arena, will witness 333 cricketers coming up for bidding. The proceedings are slated to commence at 2:30 pm IST.

“Out of 333 players, 214 are Indians and 119 are overseas players of which 2 players are from associate nations. The total capped players are 116, uncapped players are 215 and 2 from associate nations,” stated an IPL media release.

“A maximum of 77 slots are now available with up to 30 being slotted for overseas players. 23 players chose to be slotted in the highest bracket of Rs 2 crore while 13 players are in the auction list with a base price of Rs 1.5 crore,” the statement further said.
In the top base price category of Rs 2 crore, the three Indian capped players are seamers Harshal Patel and Shardul Thakur, alongside the experienced pacer Umesh Yadav.

Harshal, who secured a remarkable Rs 10.75 crore deal in the auction two years ago, earned this significant sum following an outstanding IPL season that also earned him a spot in the national team.
Among the franchises, last year’s runners-up Gujarat Titans have the most substantial purse with Rs 38.15 crore, followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad with Rs 34 crore. The total spending limit for the 10 franchises collectively stands at Rs 262.95 crore.
