Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 rugged smartphone with water-resistant design launched

Samsung XCover7 rugged smartphone is now official. The South Korean smartphone maker has launched its new rugged smartphone Galaxy Cover 7 in Europe.
Successor to the Galaxy XCover6 Pro, the smartphone comes with military grade certification and is designed to withstand shock and drop. The company has also bundled a protective case with the smartphone.The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek chipset and houses a single lens rear camera.
The Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 smartphone is priced at 359 euros (Rs 32,580).
Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 specifications
Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with 1080×2400 pixel resolution. The display comes with wet touch and glove mode. The screen is also protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on top.
The rugged smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM. The smartphone offers 128GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 1TB by adding a microSD card.
The dual SIM smartphone runs Android 14 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of One UI 6. Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 also comes with a customisation key and houses a 50MP main rear camera. Front houses the 5MP selfie shooter and the IP68 rating makes it dust and water-resistant.
Samsung Galaxy XCover 7 is backed by a 4,050 mAh battery.
