UPSC IFS 2024 Registration Begins at, Apply Now |


NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission has released the notification for the UPSC IFS 2024 exam today, February 14. Candidates who are interested and want to apply for the Indian Forest Service Examination 2024 can visit the official website at and submit the application form.
As per the notification, the registration window will close on March 5, 2024.So, those who are interested in applying for the examination must not wait for the last day instead apply at the earliest in order to avoid any last-minute problem like server down or site crashed.
Candidates intending to apply for the Indian Forest Service Examination should be aware that they must participate in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination and successfully qualify to advance to the second stage of the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination, which includes a written test and an interview.

How to apply for UPSC IFS 2024?
Step 1: Go to the official website at
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads, “Exam Notification: Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2024 through CS(P) Examination 2024.”
Step 3: Now tap on the “Click Here” link to open the login window.
Step 4: A new window will open, enter your login details and submit.
Step 5: Proceed with filling out the UPSC IFS Application Form 2024 and upload all the required documents.
Step 6: Download the same and take its printout for further reference.

Candidates except female, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) will have to pay an application fee of Rs 100 to apply for the exam. The fee payment can be done via debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking.
UPSC IFS 2024: Eligibility criteria

  • The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • The candidate should be between 21 and 32 years old on August 1, 2024, meaning they must have been born between August 2, 1992, and August 1, 2003.
  • A candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree with at least one of the following subjects: animal husbandry and veterinary science, botany, chemistry, geology, mathematics, physics, statistics, and zoology. Alternatively, a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, forestry, or engineering from any recognized university is also acceptable.

UPSC IFS 2024 exam will be conducted in two stages – civil services preliminary exam for selection of candidates for mains and IFS mains exam (written and interview). The exam will be held to fill up a total of 150 vacancies in the Indian Forest Service.
