In multiple stories on Instagram, he can be seen on an Indigo flight as questions arise over players safety and successful repatriation bach home. In the current situation, many Australian players have decided to follow Slater to the Maldives. Players like Steven Smith, Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell will join Slater while support staffs like Ricky Ponting and Simon Katich are also expected to leave for the Maldives till the Australian government decides otherwise. Currently, the Australian government has banned any traveller from India till May 15.

It is notable that Cricket South Africa, Cricket Australia have stepped up to support the Australia and South Africa players on successful repatriation back home.
