Serie A team A.S. Roma have announced that Jose Mourinho will succeed Paulo Fonseca as head coach, with Fonseca set to leave the club at the end of the season and Mourinho signing on for three seasons.

Mourinho was last in Serie A with Inter Milan in 2010, before stints in La Liga with Real Madrid and the Premier League with Chelsea, Manchester United, and most recently Tottenham Hotspur, where he was manager for 17 months before getting sacked on Apr. 19.

The news comes two days before Roma are set to host one of Mourinho’s former clubs, Manchester United, in the second leg of semi-finals of Europa League. Manchester United won the first leg last week 6-2.

Roma currently sit in seventh in Serie A play with just four games left in the regular season, nine points back of sixth-place Lazio.
